Share medical information in real time with minimal human intervention. The best patient-centric interoperability model to ensure all patients get the right treatment at the right time.
HealthGates is a digital system for patient data that is designed to advance the communication and delivery of health-related information for the pharmaceutical industry, health care providers, insurance industry, and patients. At a time when advances in the treatment of difficult diseases have rapidly changed, current antiquated technology is holding back advances from the people who need it the most.
Post Phase 3 approval under PDUFA (Prescription Drug User Fee Act), manufacturers and pharma's wishing to bring products to market once fully FDA approval is granted, are faced with the following payable Gov't fees:
The fees do not include any sales and marketing costs involved in product launch and other "go to market" expenses needed to be burned, in order to secure a successful adoption by prescribing physicians and distributed and fulfilled by specialty pharmacies.
Fee Category | Fee Rates for FY 2023 | Fee Rates for FY 2024 |
---|---|---|
Application | ||
Requiring clinical data | $3,242,026 | $4,048,695 |
Not requiring clinical data | $1,621,013 | $2,024,348 |
Depending on the products' target market, the cost to launch can run into several millions of dollars over a short period of time, of between six (6) and ten (10) months, so the spend "burn rate" is significant, if considered alone or in isolation of the costs involved to get the product to PDUFA, which may have run into tens or hundreds of millions.
Access to key market influencers, decision leaders/makers, significant members of the medical community is by far the most critical factor in product adoption and likely financial success.
Regional coverage is a close second, so depending on licensing and target markets, such as the North East, South East, Mid-West or West Coast, having access to the right people in the appropriate regional hubs is important for a product to gain meaningful market share and penetration that is "sticky".
For products to be demonstrably successful, it's important that there is a medium to longer term pipeline of opportunity laid ahead for the roadmap and a genuine RoI.
A "one and done" approach will not meet these longer-term market penetration demands or target objectives of the manufacturers/pharma.
Alongside our stellar board of medical and scientific advisors, our nationwide (and international) network of direct contacts provides our clients with access otherwise inaccessible to most manufacturers/pharma's bringing new products to the market.
HealthGates approach uses key meetings, small conventions, conferences and private dinners, in order to connect our clients with these premier level professionals to facilitate meaningful and persuasive conversations around the product(s) in question.
By supporting and augmenting our clients' sales and marketing representatives, HealthGates Concierge through its team of experienced healthcare marketing professionals, adds value to help drive attention towards your product(s).
Our network and reach surpasses all other avenues available for most manufacturers/pharmas and aids product launch success rates through the power of the "HealthGates Networking Effect".
We are extremely flexible in approach and can save our clients both time and expense in their product launch ambitions, goals and objectives.
In many medical diagnoses, the fax machine is still the prefered mode of communication. The current system has now become a barrier that significantly delays treatment. The cost is far more than merely financial when a patient’s life or death situation is placed in the hands of some distant employee who is tasked with PA approval or denial. The “eradication of the fax machine” is not only a catchy tech phrase, it is a necessity if we want to advance health care delivery in the modern era.
Returning power to doctors to do what they do best; care for patients. Authorization has delayed care and allowed medication to be wasted for far too long.
HealthGates was founded in early 2017 by Dr. Francis Arena, Medical Director of NYU Langone Arena Oncology and Clinical Professor of Medicine at NYU Medical College. HealthGates was borne out of the frustration with the existing mechanisms for treatment authorization. HealthGates plans to work within the existing medical ecosystem to connect the insurance company to the doctor’s office and specialty pharmacy, removing the delays plaguing physicians and patients alike.
Dr. Arena, co-founder of HealthGates, wants to eradicate cancer. He founded HealthGates with that goal in mind.
Dr. Arena is one of the leading oncologists in the world, pioneering new treatment methods and drugs throughout his field.
